Following our late night, Chris and I rose late. Mark had evidently either woken up and gone to his room, or been abducted by aliens. We hoped it was the former, since aliens could otherwise have assumed that Earthmen are generally well-built, weak, listless and prone to groaning and/or snoring loudly. Dave and Claire appeared at about 10.30 to ask after the health of the invalid. The invalid had not yet made an appearance, so we could only regale them with tales from the previous evening. As it happened, Mark was awake and listening (he just couldn't face Dave and Claire). He had no memory of events between about 10.30 the last night and 7.30 this morning, when he woke up on the floor where we left him. Once his leg cramped up and he pulled the muscle trying to walk his day was set. He was still drunk from the night before, so he had the joy of being awake as the hangover hit. How tragic.

I went into college to try to work in the evening, whilst Mark and Chris went to watch the JCR video. Work-wise, things went fairly poorly - I've decided that I really need lectures on group theory since if I try to learn from a book I get lost in a maze of subscripts, superscripts and letters that are the same but mean subtly different things.

Lectures tomorrow. Oh the excitement.
