Tutorial work looms large. This week, we are hampered by the fact that none of the books have any decent amount of information in them, so we have to scratch about for little scraps to write notes on. It's very slow going.

The day was enlivened by the quantum mechanics class. Dave and Vicki had also handed in small amounts of work, so I wasn't singled out as being a waster. This is a Good Thing. We have to do any of the questions we haven't done as vacation work anyway, so it's only putting off the inevitable. Dr. Brouard might also let us off doing our welcome-back-after-Christmas exam. This too is a Good Thing.

I have discovered a shop which sells all the sweets I remember from the tuck shops of my youth. My sherbet addiction is back in full force. I am up to six Sherbet Dip-Dabs a day. It may be an odd thing to be addicted to, but then how many class A drugs come with a lolly? At 15p per wrap, it's a bargain.

Unfortunately I've bought a load of packets which have been in the box for a while, and so they are rather compacted and lumpy. To deal with this I poured the sherbet onto a plate and began chopping it with a Boot's Advantage Card. Mark appeared and pointed out that I wasn't chopping it correctly and demonstrated a worrying talent for the activity. After this, he further pointed out that the action should be taken to it's logical conclusion and the lines of sherbet should be snorted. After obtaining a five pound note (twenty would have been stylish, but we're running a cut-price drugs den here) I had no option but to do the deed. It is a very strange sensation indeed. Take the biggest sneeze you've ever had. Multiply it a thousand, and you're still nowhere near.

When Chris returned, he found his flatmates with a plate of white powder, a credit card and a rolled up note, giggling madly. It's good to worry people occasionally.

Mark and I whiled away the time doing tutorial work late into the night. Chris whiled away the time by going out to Fifth Avenue. Such is life in Flat Five.
