the morning man
I was caught out by the Morning Man again today. The Morning Man is a man who wanders around near where I live and says "morning" when people pass him. But he always waits until I'm just passing him before saying "morning" which means I'm left, flustered, saying "er, hi" to empty space.
I'm normally ready for it now, but I wasn't paying attention this morning.
