It's Sara's grandma's memorial service today. Now, in fact. I wish I could be there, but I can't.

Still, you can say your goodbyes wherever you are, I suppose.

I'm glad I knew her, even if it was just for a short while.

I don't know the word for the feeling engendered by having something break unexpectedly in your hands. But whatever it is, I felt it today when I found that the handle of our blender jug comes off. It's meant to, it turns out, but I made that discovery when the bit of plastic that holds it in went "ping" off the window.

I love superglue.

I have Jimmy Smith's JS:B-3 playing. Dancing while sitting down is tricky, but possible.
