man in the mirror

While sitting in Bodean's, I happened to look over Sara's shoulder and thought "I've seen that guy before". Then realised I was looking in a mirror.

I hadn't noticed that it was a mirror, OK? And I only caught a glimpse of myself. It could have happened to anyone.

bodean's

Quite incidental to my barbecue obsession, we ate at Bodean's Original BBQ Smokehouse this evening. I had a large salt beef sandwich while Sara and Jen both had the "Boston Butt" (a pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich, in case you didn't know).

Mmmmm. Barbecue.

my work here is done

Well, that's technically it. My project is done. Of course it's not actually done, but it's all over bar the shouting. I begin the re-integration with my old department next week.

It's the sort of project that niggles on, though - training, support, tweaking - so it's going to keep hanging over me for a while yet.

mocking the afflicted

Via SMS, from Sara:

Sitting outside a nice cafe with Jen about to split a bottle of wine... Wish you were here.

Now that, with me stuck inside on a nice sunny day, is just cruelty to husbands.
