mmm... steak

"What would you like to eat most, out of all the things we could cook?"

"Steak. Steak and chips. With mushrooms."

I do get a craving for steak sometimes. Medium rare - juicy but not, you know, raw - with good crispy chips (we had potato wedges, actually, but they're acceptable too) and fried mushrooms and peas.

I found "medallion steaks" in Sainsbury's which are trimmed of all the fat. Not too large, but good.

phoneless

Got that horrible churned feeling in my stomach on my way home this evening when I realised my phone wasn't in my pocket. I thought I'd probably left it on my desk at work, but couldn't be quite sure.

Called Henry at work and he checked my desk and told me that yes, I'd just been forgetful. Relief. Thankfully I can do without my phone for an evening. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

slashdot

Much embarrassment today when I found myself banned from reading the /. RSS feed.

Just one of those times when a test goes wrong and rather more requests go out than planned. Apparently they automatically unblock you after a while. Which is nice.

whisper sweet nothings

Sara's been through two days of interviews, and last night had precious little voice left. Today she can barely whisper "good morning".

We resort to text messages for the day's communications.
