cocktail photography

Tonight's party is a cocktail party, held in support of our desire to take some photos of cocktails. Rob and I are both fond of cameras, and Rob's got lots of flash guns and reflectors and paraphernalia, and we're both fond of cocktails, so we felt we should combine these. But if we're going to make cocktails, we need people to drink them.

I've a vague plan to make a cocktail database. Yes, another one. It's not an original idea. But this one might have nice illustrations, and a slightly more select repertoire, tested carefully.

The bedroom's turning into a studio; the kitchen, a bar.

cleaning

There's nothing like a party for making you clean the flat. In fact, I became so keen on cleaning that I even cleaned the oven. Well, I attacked it with oven cleaner, and it's certainly cleaner than it was....

The bathroom got cleansed too, although the glass of the shower cubicle will be the death of me. A slight design fault means that soap and scale accrues in the region where the sliding door overlaps with the cubicle wall. It's as visible as it is inaccessible. I've tried taking the doors off, but they don't seem to want to come loose.

I even managed to make my desk look tidier by stuffing all the PC cables between the desk and the wall. I'm a terrible one for sweeping things under the carpet when cleaning.
