happy birthday to ed
Back to Oxford again tonight to celebrate Ed's birthday. I'm staying the night, since I'd have to leave too early otherwise. I fear much drinking may occur. I might have to abstain a bit, since I've got to get up early and go to work tomorrow.

a date with dentistry
I finally got round to making an appointment with the dentist. I hate going to the dentist. It's not a fear of pain or anything, it's just a fear of being told bad news about my teeth. I should really just take better care of my teeth and stop worrying. But I never do. I think I worry about disappointing him.
Oh, I made an appointment with the dental hygienist too. Now hygienists I really fear. I can only assume that they're taught how to make patients feel guilty.

flip of a coin
I find the humble coin to be an excellent decision-making tool. If I have two choices, I flip the coin. If it comes down, and I say "best of three, then" then I know which answer I really wanted anyway.
