shredder
We bought a paper shredder. Finally! I own a shredder!
I have vaguely worried about the risks of just binning stuff which has personal information on it - junk mail from my bank, particularly - for a while, and in the end we might as well destroy them a bit better.
[I have difficulty thinking of the word "shredder" without thinking it in the voice of Krang from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It doesn't exactly blight my life, but it's a habit I'd rather kick.]
