marks and spencers go chinese

We were in Marks and Spencer's Food Hall, trying to find interesting things to eat, when we found their "foreign food" range. (I'm sure the range has got a proper name, but I can't remember it, so "foreign food" it'll have to be; they've been advertising it on telly recently, which clearly hasn't worked very well.) You're looking at curries (various regional types) and Chinese food and stuff.

I picked up some onion bahjees and a Chinese meal for two (Those purchases were not linked by a common menu, I should point out. I just fancied having onion bahjees as a snack some time.)

The Chinese meal was chicken with cashew nuts, sweet and sour chicken, rice and spring rolls. It was also a disappointment. The spring rolls were nice enough. The sweet and sour chicken tasted funny. The chicken with cashew nuts was just boring. The rice was, well, rice.

So much for fine cuisine.
